Vanguard polycarbonate helmets are designed to provide limited impact and penetration protection in the event of a top or lateral blow to the head, as well as limited protection against contact with high-voltage conductors. Representing the latest generation of protective headwear, these helmets are tested to the same energy level for both top and lateral blows. Compliant with test requirements of ANSI Z.89.1-1997 Type I and Type II helmets (Class E and G)(formerly Class B and A) and are certified to CAN/CSA ZZ94.1-1992, Class E (Canadian lateral protective helmet standards).
